Alison Ayres, RMT
In 1997 I graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage College and have been a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario ever since. Over the years I have continued my education becoming certified in acupuncture, hot stones massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and Dr. Vodders Manual Lymph Drainage.
Although I continue to build on my vocational skills I still favor my trigger point therapy and basic Swedish massage techniques as I have found these to be the most effective in helping my clients reach their wellness goals.
Through the years I have had the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience working alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists, athletic consultants and fellow massage therapists.
In 2003 I opened my own clinic in Peterborough where I built a successful business, selling in 2009 to move with my husband to Toronto to start a family, there I worked in a neurological physiotherapy clinic treating brain injury and spinal cord injury patients.
In recent years we have made the move north, where we are now happily settled and look forward to raising our kids in the Uxbridge community.
